Xin Nian respects your privacy. The app does not create accounts and does not use advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking services.
Content stored on your device
Wishes and questions you enter, together with Still Archive records, saved fortunes, categories, and settings, are stored on your device. We do not transmit this content to a server.
Motion gestures
Moon-block casting and fortune shaking can use device motion sensors. Sensor data is processed only in real time to recognize the gesture and is not stored or transmitted.
Privacy lock
If you enable Face ID or the device passcode lock, authentication is handled by iOS on your device. Xin Nian does not receive or store biometric data.
Purchases
Payments and purchase restoration are handled by Apple StoreKit. Xin Nian receives only the transaction information needed to recognize a completed purchase and its product; we do not receive your payment-card information.
Exports and backups
You may export records or create a local backup. Once exported, the file is handled by the app or storage location you choose.
